The board took time during its June 10 meeting to honor longtime educator Lynette Eichenlaub, who the presenter said has worked with the district since 1990 and is retiring after 35 years of service. Principal Jessica Bledsoe and colleagues highlighted Eichenlaub’s roles as a science teacher and physical‑education instructor and read staff comments praising her care and support for students and staff.
The board also recognized HBEF volunteers and the outgoing HBEF president for fundraising and event support that the presenter said helped sustain district traditions such as the back‑to‑school picnic, Halloween carnival and a third‑and‑eighth grade book exchange. Board members and attendees expressed appreciation and took photos to mark the recognitions.
