Hermosa Valley students update board on PBIS store, ceramics fundraiser and clubs

Student council representatives from Hermosa Valley updated the board on school activities, telling the board the leadership class is focused on communication skills through short skits and role‑play. “Our new student store has been a success and will continue to run under student council,” said Kelsey Kettler, describing how students earn PBIS points and use them to purchase items.
Students also described art‑class ceramic units, plans to use student work for an Empty Bowls fundraiser, yearbook pagination work and speech and debate preparation. The board praised the students and thanked them for bringing the update; the board said the students are a highlight of the meeting and looks forward to future reports.
