After a series of public comments calling for greater resident engagement and stronger affordability protections, the clerk and members instructed municipal staff to meet with residents in the rail-yard district. The clerk said she had “given instructions to municipal staff to please meet with all residents in the area who will be affected.”
The directive does not, on its face, change the budgets or the draft plans adopted at the meeting. It does, however, create an explicit follow-up task for staff: to engage residents, collect concerns, and report back to the authority before further actions on the withdrawn amendment or map redraw.
