Commission recommends reinserting 'inn annex' use in village bylaws

The presenter described the annex as an accessory use allowing guest occupancy in an existing building or structure subordinate to an inn under the same ownership, and recommended reinserting the definition and conditional-use requirements.
Commissioners agreed the change appeared straightforward because the language existed in the town regulations and could be reinserted into the village text for trustees to consider. "If people agree that that should be a part of the village, it should be a pretty easy fix," the presenter said; the commission had no objections to re-adding the definition as a use with conditional-use permitting requirements.
Staff said the item will be included in the transmitted draft so trustees can evaluate it alongside other edits.
