During the public-comment period, attorney Nicholas Seldin addressed trustees and raised serious accusations about the village’s financial practices and minutes handling. Seldin said the meeting was likely the last before a trustee’s pay increase takes effect and asked the board to clarify accountability procedures.
"Where is the line between terminal misconduct and, malfeasance that can be overlooked?" Seldin asked, and he additionally said he had placed the board on notice of an open-meeting law violation tied to reporting an alleged assault. Trustees did not debate the accusation during the meeting; Seldin requested the board add the matter to a future agenda for legal and procedural review.
