River Ridge board accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman; solicits candidates for Seat 1

Mrs. Cleo Adams presented a resignation letter from Mr. James Gilman for Seat 1 (term expiring November 2026). The board formally accepted the resignation on a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, with the motion recorded as unanimous among those present.
Mrs. Adams said Mr. Gilman had represented The Meadows for eight years and that staff would seek candidates by having Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager e-blast residents with candidate qualification requirements and asking interested applicants to submit resumes or letters of interest before the next meeting. The board noted the appointment will fill an unexpired term and that the Oath of Office and required ethics training materials will be provided to any appointee.
