Board gives first reading and authorizes advertisement of policies 5a through 5aaa

Board attorney Miss Nash told the board that the policies under consideration had been discussed in a July 14 workshop and that tonight represented a first reading. She said the board could authorize advertisement to consider adoption and pull any individual policy for separate discussion if desired. A board member moved to authorize advertisement of 5a through 5aaa inclusive and the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
Miss Nash said the policies would return for adoption in September to meet statutory timelines. Board members were invited to request separate review of any policy prior to advertisement.
