Board adopts revised curricula, new textbooks and Extended School Year program dates

The board approved revised Honors calculus curricula, two new textbooks, and the 2025 Extended School Year program (July 1–Aug. 7, Mon–Thu, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) as part of Education Items 19–24 approved unanimously Feb. 18, 2025.
The board approved revisions to curricula (Honors College Calculus and Multivariable Calculus) and adopted two new textbooks: The House in the Cerulean Sea and The Cultural Landscape: An Introduction to Human Geography (14th edition). The board also approved the 2025 Extended School Year (ESY) program to run July 1 through Aug. 7, 2025, Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Education items 19–24 were approved on a motion by Mrs. Whitehouse, seconded by Mrs. Kiley; the roll call vote was unanimous. Field trips and fundraising requests for various clubs and classes were also approved within the education package.
