The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education approved a sidebar agreement with the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional Education Association that sets the 2025-26 teacher work year and related summer schedules.
The agreement text states that “the school year shall begin on August 27 and 28, 2025,” and specifies that the teacher work year will include the student calendar plus up to five additional professional growth days (not to exceed 186 teacher work days). It also requires one delayed-opening Wednesday per month for staff professional development and sets a target end date of June 19, 2026 for the 2025-26 school year. The sidebar also describes four-day summer schedules for maintenance and secretaries and says the provisions are subject to ratification and board approval.
