Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District outlines $3.3M in Medea Creek cleanup work

Eric Lundstrom, Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District (RSRPD) District 5 board member, updated the Oak Park MAC on park-district activity and the Medea Creek cleanup.
Lundstrom said Phase 1 work used about $3.3 million in grants to clear dead vegetation; Phase 2 (Doubletree to Conifer) is out to bid; Phase 3 will address Lindero Creek. He noted the district held an Oak Park planning committee meeting and plans community outreach; the OP Wellness festival occurred March 21 and an Egg Scramble will be held April 4 at Mae Boyer Park.
Councilors asked about committee composition and transparency; Lundstrom said the committee is an approved body and that district representation is providing project summaries and bid status. Council asked RSRPD to keep MAC informed; no formal liaison appointment was made.
