Supervisor Gorell says county homelessness down, outlines modernization efforts

On government modernization, Gorell said the county is rolling out a customer-friendly permitting system (Accela) to improve transparency and timeliness. He also provided a recovery update on the Mountain fire, noting six families are moving back into rebuilt homes.
Council members asked that modernization include improvements to the county service-ticketing process and noted concerns about homeowners insurance affordability; Gorell said a legislative agenda item would seek action from the insurance commissioner.
