Susan Hambey, a member of the Community Information Committee, suggested that Board representatives attend their assigned school PTO meetings to stay connected with building-level concerns and to continue conversations about the budget and other topics at the school level. "Ms. Hambey suggested that Board representatives should join their assigned school’s PTO meetings to be able to continue discussion about the budget and other topics as well," the minutes state.
The minutes also record that Ms. Maynard-Adams suggested Board Representatives give reports during regular Board meetings to share information from building visits. Committee members agreed to continue discussing assignment of topics and meeting dates at the next committee meeting so representatives could plan PTO attendance and reporting responsibilities.
