Facilities committee: Nathan Hale PA system under budget; sprinkler and lighting issues identified

Board member Susan Hambey told the board the School Facilities & Program Design Committee met earlier that evening and heard an update on the Nathan Hale Public Address system. "They heard an update on the Public Address (PA) system at Nathan Hale, and learned that the cost came in lower than anticipated," Hambey reported, adding that the operations department also reported an ongoing lighting problem at the high school and two new sprinkler issues affecting the high school and the old Central Office building.
Hambey said the operations department is operating on a very tight, restricted budget and that she plans to meet with Executive Director of Operations Miguel Gautier before the next School Maintenance and Building Committee meeting to discuss next steps. No formal action was taken during the business meeting; the report was informational.
