Committee chair to circulate outreach topics as members plan monthly City Council appearances

"Ms. Bergin will send this list of topics out to the Board and Committee Members so that all can elect which meeting they would like to speak at, and which topic they would like to speak about," the minutes state.
The list of suggested topics includes budget information and meeting schedule, scholarship recipients (including MLK and end-of-year awards), Family Resource Center and cold-weather resources, cell phone policy, adult education and workforce transition, unified programming such as theater and sports, and community partnerships like FRESH and Farm to Table. The committee described its purpose as improving communication across the community and acknowledged that outreach may include both positive news and challenges that require public explanation. The committee plans to continue assigning topic and date responsibilities at its next meeting.
