Board recognizes Students of the Month and perfect attendance

The New London Board of Education honored Students of the Month from each school and recognized several New London High School students for perfect attendance during its Feb. 9 meeting.
At its Feb. 9 meeting President Elaine Maynard-Adams formally recognized Students of the Month from the district’s schools. "The Board of Education recognized the Students of the Month from each school," the minutes record; named honorees included Josiah Parks (Early Childhood Center at B.P. Mission), Aleaze Alston (Winthrop STEM Elementary), Harmoni Irving (Nathan Hale Arts Magnet), Lian Sanchez Chuva (C.B. Jennings), Lea Casimiro (Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School), Deandre Gittens (New London High School), and David Foy (New London Adult Education).
The board additionally gave special recognition to New London High School students Jason Cruz, Tyler Mason, Joseph Dougherty and Jaemani Jones for perfect attendance. Members and administrators noted the honors as part of regular recognition of student achievement at monthly meetings.
