Chairman Norm Holmen reported the county health insurance committee recommended remaining with Blue Cross Blue Shield for 2025 coverage. The board unanimously approved raising the single-coverage cap from $900 to $1,000 effective Jan. 1, 2025, and voted to increase the VEBA/HSA contribution for family coverage from $265.76 to $500 per month effective Jan. 1, 2025.
The minutes record unanimous votes but do not include projected fiscal impacts or actuarial estimates; departmental budgeting will reflect the higher cap and increased county contribution for family coverage in next year’s benefit planning.
