Board adopts Cottonwood–Middle Minnesota comprehensive watershed plan; authorizes SWCD to sign grants

The board adopted the Cottonwood–Middle Minnesota One Watershed One Plan and authorized the SWCD District Administrator to docu-sign BWSR NRBG and MPCA SSTS grant agreements on behalf of the county.
Kay Gross, SWCD District Administrator, told the board that the Cottonwood–Middle Minnesota One Watershed One Plan process is concluding and presented a resolution to submit, adopt and implement the comprehensive watershed management plan. The board approved the resolution unanimously; the resolution is on file in the County Coordinator’s office.
Separately, the board unanimously authorized the SWCD District Administrator to document-sign Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) NRBG and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) SSTS grant agreements on behalf of Cottonwood County, enabling the SWCD to execute grant paperwork necessary to implement elements of the watershed plan.
