Public Works Director Nick Klisch told the Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners that a hydraulic review of Bridge 17501 conducted with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources requires a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the planned bridge replacement. The board voted unanimously to amend SEH’s engineering scope to include preparation of the LOMR at a cost increase not to exceed $46,500.
The LOMR is intended to ensure the replacement project complies with floodplain mapping requirements and DNR coordination, Klisch said during the meeting. The contract amendment was approved without recorded opposition; the board did not specify a funding source in the minutes.
