Council tables easement amendment for landlocked parcels pending JCP&L pole mapping

The Mayor and Council voted to table Resolution 53-2025, which would amend an easement benefiting Block 2, Lots 7 and 8, citing missing utility pole mapping from JCP&L and a missing plan amendment that would extend the easement to Edison Drive. Borough attorney Robert McBriar said JCP&L had been asked to depict pole locations on the applicant’s plan; without that information the easement may need to be redrafted, recorded and resubmitted if poles fall within the 50-foot right-of-way.
Council members pressed for follow-up. Mayor Hutnick said the timeline was becoming "silly" and Mr. McBriar said he would reach out to JCP&L again. Councilman Ciasullo and others noted the applicant’s engineers also still needed to provide a slight amendment. The council tabled the resolution to avoid recording an easement that might require future re-recording if pole locations change.
