Staff estimated anticipated staffing costs at $220,267 and identified a requested waiver to spend about $132,710 of carryover on instruments and room upgrades, citing the need to buy expensive band instruments and hard‑surface flooring in some art rooms to make them cleanable.
Trustees asked for site‑level spending plans and a strategic plan to guide expenditures; staff said detailed site SPSAs will be brought back for review and that the board’s approval tonight was only to file the required report and rollover request to the state. The board approved the Prop 28 annual report and directed staff to return with school site plans and, if the waiver is granted, to follow SPSA processes for expenditures.
