Auburn Union board reappoints Holt, swears in new trustees and honors outgoing members

The Auburn Union School District Board of Trustees opened its meeting by re-electing President Holt and installing new trustees Amber Poole and Emily Travis. Trustees moved and seconded the nominations for president and clerk and approved both positions; Superintendent Dr. Britney Meyer administered oaths to Poole and Travis before the board recessed for closed session earlier in the evening.
Board members paused the formal agenda to recognize outgoing trustees Jamie Ross and Sarah Brickler for their service. In introducing Jamie Ross, the board said she had "brought valuable resources and partnerships to our schools" and invited the community to "join me in expressing gratitude to Jamie for her service." Ross addressed the board, thanked her family and staff, and urged new trustees to remain present and engaged with school sites. The board also appointed Dr. Britney Meyer as the board secretary; the motion to appoint the superintendent carried on a unanimous voice vote.
