Council approves $175,000 increase to on‑call consulting contract with International Consulting Services

Public works staff asked council to amend the existing professional services agreement with International Consulting Services (ICS), increasing the 12‑month contract amount by $175,000 to a not‑to‑exceed $275,000. Staff said ICS is providing project management and engineering services for complex projects including the mole and workforce housing and has been performing well.
"So, ICS is currently engaged with city staff with a lot... they're in mainly two complex projects with us... The mole all aspects of the mole project and then also for the workforce housing," staff said. Council moved to authorize the amendment and approved the contract increase.
The contract amendment will provide staff additional on‑call engineering capacity; staff and the contractor will proceed under contract terms and report back on workload and deliverables.
