The Darien Public Schools District #61 Board approved a proposal Jan. 27 to contract CESO Communications Services for a six‑month trial to expand communications support to the central office and individual buildings.
Superintendent Dr. Langman outlined that CESO would assist with website updates, crisis communications and building‑level messaging. The district plans to start weekly coordination meetings with CESO during the week of Feb. 2; the trial was approved by board motion and recorded in the minutes as carried by roll call.
The trial is structured as a short‑term engagement to assess whether outside communications support improves parent and community outreach; the board did not record dollar amounts in the minutes.
