Resident urges golf-cart access on McCullom Lake Road; board to draft ordinance amendment

President Marilyn Shepit responded with a set of proposed safety-oriented stipulations: pursue a speed study to reduce the posted limit from 40 to 30 mph if appropriate; allow eastbound access from Gate 5 to Gate 4 only for property owners living on McCullom Lake Road; restrict golf-cart operation to daylight hours and to travel along the south edge of the pavement; require signage and subject users to existing golf-cart rules. Shepit said Attorney Shaw will draft an amendment and the item will be placed on the next meeting agenda.
Trustee Bogacz asked whether enforcement actions (like ticketing) should be suspended pending the ordinance change; President Shepit said she would consult the police department.
