The Village of McCullom Lake Board of Trustees approved Ordinance No. 567 adopting the 2024–25 annual tax levy at its Nov. 26 meeting.
Deputy Clerk Lori Prehn told the board that Village Treasurer Benson "did a 3.5% increase across the board per their instructions last year," and Trustee Bogacz moved to approve Ordinance No. 567. The motion passed on a voice vote with Trustees Bogacz, Fritz, Thompson, Vick, Walter and Zakrocky recorded as voting in favor.
In the same meeting the board approved Ordinance No. 566, an ordinance abating taxes for the Series 2021 general obligation bonds. Trustee Bogacz made the motion to approve the bond-abatement ordinance and the board approved it by voice vote. The meeting record lists those measures as routine municipal budget actions; no further fiscal breakdown was provided at the meeting.
No speakers requested additional hearings or changes to the levy during the session. The board set its next regular meeting for Dec. 10, 2024, when any supplemental budget or levy-related items could be placed on the agenda.
