Superintendent Wimmer outlines key back-to-school dates and congratulates academic teams

Superintendent Wimmer used the July 27 meeting to remind families that back-to-school registration for the 2026'27 school year is open and to publicize key fall orientation dates.
"We're asking that families complete this registration for each child in the family by Friday, August 7," Wimmer said, adding that registration data help the district plan transportation routing. Wimmer also announced kindergarten kickoff on Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 4'6 p.m., Badger Jumpstart for incoming seventh graders the same day from 9'11 a.m., and a freshman mini day on Thursday, Aug. 27 from noon to 3 p.m.
Wimmer recognized athletics and academic honors as well: the West Bend West volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Academic Team Award with a collective 3.51 GPA, and incoming junior Ella Miller earned a 4.0. Wimmer closed her report and invited questions; none were raised.
