Superintendent Dr. Champ told the board the district has handled a number of personnel actions—hires, resignations and transfers—and is making arrangements to ensure coverage for the fall. She noted resignations were often for positions closer to employees' homes and that some internal transfers and leaves of absence are in process.
Dr. Champ also highlighted an agreed-upon memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Pelham Administrators Association for the board's approval and said the administration supports the MOA. She recognized Dr. Suzanne Short, director of humanities, for an "above and beyond" contribution during her second year with the district and indicated the board would present an award in appreciation of her work.
