District safety plan, code of conduct posted for 30-day review; adoption expected next month

The staff member told the board the plan is an "umbrella" document that provides broad, forward-facing guidance rather than operational detail; the board will consider adoption once the open-comment period closes. Dr. Champ said the code of conduct was also posted for a hearing and that administrators are aligning school handbooks with the submitted policy; she outlined a plan to convene an internal admin-and-teacher committee to review and recommend revisions during the coming school year.
