Board liaisons flag back-to-school volunteering and an HCE meet-and-greet on Aug. 6

Board liaisons provided several short community notices ahead of the school year. A liaison noted PTOs typically do not meet over the summer but will recruit volunteers for back-to-school nights and commonly host events such as serving ice cream. "For back to school night, they will probably be looking for volunteers. Usually, our PTO serves ice cream," a liaison said.
Cassie called out a specific upcoming event at Hills Corners Elementary: a tap-into-the-playground meet-and-greet for families to meet Miss Hess, the new HCE principal, scheduled for Aug. 6 from about 4:30 to 6 p.m. She said details were posted to the HCE PTO Facebook page. These items were informational and intended to help community members engage as the school year approaches.
