Dr. Seth Young told the podcast the district is coordinating with county officials and the sheriff's office to reroute traffic in the Powdersville area as Oak Hill opens and neighborhood traffic patterns change. "We've also tried to reroute traffic around the middle school... we're gonna have some additional personnel with crossing guards," he said, noting the goal is to avoid a dangerous intersection on Roe Road near the new Bon Secours health campus.
He urged families with students at Powdersville Middle to watch announcements from Mr. Williams and his team about afternoon routing changes and cautioned that the first few days of school will be especially congested. The podcast recorded warnings to be patient during the first week and said the district expects routes to settle by the second week of classes.
