The board approved the first reading of Policy 32-31, described by staff as an update to student-records policy required in connection with the district’s planned transition to a new student information system and to conform with WOSA guidance. "This policy deals with student records as an update that is considered critical from WOSA," the superintendent said, and staff said they will continue work with a larger group to bring remaining WOSA-related updates by the August 24 meeting.
Trustees asked clarifying questions and moved approval for the first reading; staff said a broader set of policy updates will be assembled for later action and that the district will work to ensure records transition is complete ahead of system conversion.
