McCullom Lake reports $128,963 CDBG agreement for drainage and roadway work; federal funds on hold

The Village of McCullom Lake has an executed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) agreement worth $128,963 for drainage and roadway improvements, Deputy Clerk Prehn reported at the Jan. 28 board meeting. "We received the CDBG Grant and Executed Agreement for Drainage and Roadway Improvements for the sum of $128,963.00," she said, and described work planned on Orchard Drive, Fountain Lane, Spring Road and Lake Shore Drive.
Prehn said the project is expected to start in the spring, but told trustees that "all Federal Funds have been put on hold." She also reported an application for resurfacing Spring Road in two phases—Phase 1 from Flanders to Orchard and Phase 2 from Orchard to McCullom Lake Road—has been submitted for future consideration.
