The commission approved a transient rental license and coastal development permit for 46 Playa Azul (Resolution PC-25-53).
Staff described the unit as a two-bedroom, two-bath condominium of about 1,403 square feet with a standard maximum occupancy of six. Staff noted the unit is similar to the previously approved Hamilton Cove projects, found no code enforcement issues and recommended approval subject to standard TRL conditions. Applicant Damian Salerno, attending remotely, said he inherited the property from his parents and thanked staff for their work.
A motion to find the project exempt under CEQA Class 1 and adopt the resolution passed following roll call; the commission recorded affirmative votes with two members absent. The approval includes standard conditions (on-island manager, noise restrictions, and limits on unenclosed balcony use at night).
