The commission approved a transient rental license and coastal development permit for a one-bedroom condominium at 61 Camino De Flores (Resolution PC-25-54).
Staff described the unit as a single-level, one-bedroom, one-bathroom condominium of roughly 775 square feet with a maximum occupancy of four. Staff said the unit passed building-inspection and that adjacent units in the same building are already licensed for short-term rental. The applicant, Steve Hall, attended remotely and thanked staff: "I've been at Hamilton for about 30 years... I appreciate the work you guys do to make it maybe happen for me," he said.
A commissioner moved to find the project exempt under CEQA Class 1 and adopt the resolution; the motion carried unanimously among members present. Standard conditions will apply, including a local on-island property manager and noise and balcony-use restrictions.
