The Board of Education unanimously approved a comprehensive slate of personnel recommendations on June 24, including resignations, new hires for the 2026–27 school year, coaching stipends, leaves of absence, and Extended School Year (ESY) assignments for special education.
The motion to "approve the Personnel Recommendations as presented" passed with all members voting yea. Resignations accepted included Donna Bell (Noon Supervisor and bus driver), Bill Gibson (assistant coach), Tabitha Schweer (Assistant Curriculum Director), and others effective at various dates. New licensed hires listed salaries—for example, Laura Crowder (Special Education Teacher, BA/Step I: $46,285) and Matt Hansen (Athletic Director/Dean, MA/Step 6: $53,740). The Board also approved numerous stipends for 2026–27 coaching roles (percentages and dollar amounts were recorded in the minutes) and leaves of absence, including a family medical leave request for George Sparrow from August 11, 2026, to January 5, 2027.
Board members did not attach special conditions to the personnel approvals during the open session. The approved ESY and summer intersession lists contain hourly rates and maximum hours for several teachers, nurses, speech-language pathologists, and paraprofessionals who will serve July 13–30 under special-education services.
The District will proceed with onboarding required new hires contingent upon receipt of required employment documentation.
