Lindop SD 92 board holds closed session on personnel, student placements

President Patterson called the Lindop School District 92 Board of Education special meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. on June 8, 2026, at the district conference room, 2400 South 18th Ave., Broadview. "Motion by Mr. Dawson, Seconded by President Patterson that the Board go into closed session under 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1), (4), (8), (9), and (10) to discuss: The appointment, employment compensation, discipline, or performance, of specific employees of the public body, evidence or testimony presented in open hearing, or in closed hearing where specifically authorized by law, security procedures, school building safety and security, student disciplinary cases, and the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students at 6:05 p.m." is recorded in the minutes as the formal motion to begin executive session.
The motion carried with four board members voting yes: Patterson, Dawson, Johnson and Myrick. The minutes record Mr. Buchanan, Ms. Griffin and Mr. Hannah as absent. The statutory citation invoked was 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1), (4), (8), (9) and (10), covering personnel and certain student-privacy matters; no further substantive actions or outcomes from the closed session are recorded in the open minutes. The board scheduled the next regular session for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Lindop School (Gymnasium).
