Lincolnwood SD74 showcases student art and previews spring musical; NSE winners recognized

At the May 7 meeting, Lincolnwood School District 74 celebrated student achievements in the arts. The District announced that more than 150 pieces are on display at the Village Hall student art exhibit and that a reception for the student-artists and teachers took place before the meeting.
Board members received a sneak peek of Lincoln Hall’s spring musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella: Youth Edition, and were told the full performances would be held May 15 and May 16, 2026. As one program note put it, "The prince is throwing a ball!" Spanish teachers Michelle Lange and Maria Ricotta presented National Spanish Exam award certificates to recognized students.
Superintendent Dr. David L. Russo thanked arts staff and volunteers and highlighted donor support for scholarships; the minutes list five John Cahill Scholarship recipients and note a PALS donation that funded five $1,000 awards.
