Carnegie Learning reports tutoring reach; board approves live‑virtual tutoring contract for 2026–27

Courtney Lewis, vice president of tutoring services for Carnegie Learning, spoke during public comment and thanked the district for a two‑year partnership. "We reached over 1,200 individual students across the district. Together, we've delivered more than 16,000 hours of live tutoring sessions," Lewis said, adding the program averaged a 91% attendance rate and 69% of students who finished a tutoring cohort signed up for more.
Later in the meeting, the board approved agreement number C0005953 with Carnegie Learning Incorporated to provide the 2026–27 live virtual tutoring program. Board members moved and passed the contract item by vote during the consent/contract approvals. District staff said the partnership provides targeted instructional support outside the school day and is part of their strategy to accelerate learning.
