Mayor Ray Nyhuis introduced James Reddit from a local Wilton Manors accounting office, who outlined a proposal for monthly bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online bank integration and optional payroll and 1099 processing. The proposal included a quoted cost of $150 per month plus an estimated QuickBooks Online subscription fee of about $15 per month.
Council members said they sought more transparent financial reporting and wanted a formal written proposal or contract for review. Councilmember Jeff Grenell moved to appoint Councilmember Dana Merrill as Village Council Treasurer to review the proposal and coordinate next steps; the motion passed 5-0.
