Board honors retirees and student artwork winner, recognizes girls’ soccer champions

The Board recognized three Lincolnwood School District 74 retirees — Ann Burke (Paraprofessional, Todd Hall), Peggy Leen (2nd grade teacher, Todd Hall), and Irene Jermihov (Music Teacher, Todd Hall) — and presented each with flowers and a vase during the June 2 meeting. Superintendent Dr. David L. Russo delivered remarks honoring their years of service.
Lincoln Hall Principal Mark Atkinson introduced seventh‑grader Arham H., the Village of Lincolnwood’s 2026 vehicle sticker artwork winner. Atkinson also recognized coaches Aila Durakovic and Jenna George and the Lincoln Hall varsity girls’ soccer team as Little 9 Champions; the team received Board of Education District Recognition certificates.
The Board recessed briefly at 7:49 p.m. and returned to open session at 7:55 p.m.
