The Chair called the Board of Education's regular hearing-session meeting to order and said the board would move into a closed session to consider several agenda items.
"The board will now convene to close session to discuss and possibly take actions on items 1 through 4 as set forth on the agenda," the Chair said. The Chair also opened the meeting by asking Miss Vasquez to conduct a roll call; Miss Vasquez read the roster of trustees and staff and recorded them as present.
At roll call, the board recorded the presence of President Melissa Raybel; Clerk Pamela Blinn; Trustees Francisco Cueto, Jenny Felix and Raquel Ortiz Cornejo; and Secretary Dr. Trent Hansen. The board's staff advisers listed were Paula Ford, Monty Owens, Denise Hernandez and Daniel Brooks. The Chair asked whether there were any public verbal comments; Miss Vasquez reported there were none.
No votes or substantive discussion on agenda items were recorded in the public portion of the transcript. The board proceeded to convene its closed session to address items 1–4 on the agenda.
