Rantoul City Schools announced new electronic reporting tools aimed at ensuring timely and consistent reporting of staff sexual harassment allegations and a revised student bullying/sexual harassment reporting form.
According to the superintendent's statement in the board packet, "Submission of this electronic report will automatically notify the district's Title IX Coordinator, Complaint Managers, and the Board President." The materials also note that employees and students are not required to use the electronic form; reports may still be made verbally or through other written channels.
The district characterized the staff form as an additional reporting method that creates a digital record and requires supervisors to submit the form if they receive a possible complaint. The student form was revised to create an easier interface based on family feedback. The Board did not take separate action beyond including the information in the Board packet.
