After‑school My Club contract approved; board warned program may be unsustainable without carryover funds

The board considered and approved a contract for the My Club after‑school program for 2025–26. A board member reported they had analyzed participation and that, for the district's sites, My Club had roughly 200 registered Bass Lake students plus about 30 at Eagle Academy. "When I ran it for my club students, the percentage was around... it was in the 20s," the board member said, noting cost‑benefit analysis would be needed to determine staffing and site needs.
District business staff cautioned that much of the program's current affordability has relied on ELOP carryover funding and that the carryover is diminishing. The presenter said that if carryover runs out the district may need to reduce the contract, cap enrollment, or adjust cost shares to sustain the program. The board recorded approval of the contract and asked staff to continue monitoring participation, staffing ratios and the audit records that are required for this state‑funded program.
