Rantoul details summer professional development and launches EduClimber training; math becomes central next year

Superintendent Dr. Woods outlined a slate of summer professional development designed to support district priorities including strong instruction, student support and leadership development. Staff participated in Responsive Classroom training on proactive discipline and relationship-building, classroom management training, multilingual instruction sessions and administrator LETRS training. Administrators and Instructional Leadership Team members received a full-day session on EduClimber, the district's new data analytics platform.
Dr. Woods said a math planning team led by Jaime Roundtree along with Michelle Frey and Diana Kistler Ramey is developing a math path modeled on the district's prior literacy work; the goal is a clear, implementable path for teachers. The district also plans targeted summer learning for K–5 and additional training for social workers and building leaders ahead of the 2026–27 year.
