The board received an update on the district's solar-power project and recurring delays that have kept panels from becoming operational. President Debbie Lowman thanked Dr. Matt Gordon for how he handled the project's ongoing challenges; Dr. Gordon said he was unsure when the panels would be operational but remained determined to resolve the issues.
Members also discussed deteriorating softball field grass and possible overuse by outside groups. Dr. Gordon said he will research the causes and estimate costs the district is incurring from outside use of athletic fields and bring that information to the board next month for further discussion.
