Staff invites comments; posts final draft and schedules August commission consideration and two SCCP public hearings

Staff asked for written comments as soon as possible and suggested July 24 as a practical cutoff to incorporate changes; final guidelines will be considered at the August commission meeting with SCCP hearings on Aug. 3 (Northern California) and Aug. 20 (Southern California at the August meeting).
At the workshop close, staff told attendees that written comments on the proposed language are welcome and that materials and the recording are posted online.
Naveen Habib said, "If you can get them to us by the end of next week, that would be... July 24," and Matthew Yosgott added that staff plans to post final guidelines in early July and that comments received promptly will have the best chance for incorporation before the August commission meeting. Habib also noted the commission will host two public hearings for the Solutions for Congested Corridors program — Northern California on August 3 and Southern California at the August commission meeting on August 20.
Staff said they will continue to accept comments up to the time commissioners vote but called out the practical deadline so staff can internally vet and incorporate feedback.
