Developer Ronald R. Diesselman said he and his wife plan to split approximately 6.43 acres from a larger parcel near County Road 15 and apply to build a residence there. "What me and my wife are looking to do is build a residential, a residence in the county and at that location," he said, describing an intent to retire to the property in five to seven years and to build a house in the meantime.
Staff noted the planning commission recommended approval. Council members emphasized that the parcel split must be recorded simultaneously with the rezoning so the new lot is not left incorrectly zoned.
