District 48 announces staffing changes, appoints new Technology Director

Salt Creek School District 48’s board reviewed personnel updates for the 2026–27 school year at its March 19 meeting. The administration announced Dr. Burnett’s new role as Assistant Superintendent and the appointment of Matt Ryan as Technology Director for the coming year.
Administrators also described planned hires: a part‑time Music Teacher and a Special Education Teacher at Salt Creek Primary, a full‑time Art Teacher shared between Salt Creek Primary and Stella May Swartz, and a part‑time Math and Science Teacher at Albright Middle School. Dr. Burnett and Dr. Zaher presented the staffing plan and the personnel report was included in the consent agenda approved that evening.
Board members indicated the changes are intended to align staffing to program needs and school schedules; implementation details and start dates will be managed by human resources and administrators over the spring and summer.
