The chief city clerk briefed the council on legal requirements (California Elections Code section 1301) and noted the fiscal year 2026–27 general fund includes $137,065 as an estimate for county election services; actual costs will depend on offices and measures on the ballot and the county’s cost‑sharing allocations. On a motion by Councilmember Menchaca, seconded by Councilmember Herrera Avila, the resolutions were approved by a 5‑0 vote.
