The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board of Education on June 30 unanimously approved a Personnel Consent Agenda that included the hire of Kamila Marszalik as a long-term Spanish substitute and acceptance of the resignation of Kelly Barrientos.
The motion to approve the personnel consent agenda was moved by Member Sarah Pocic and seconded by Member Pam Driscoll; upon roll call the board recorded six ayes and no nays (Kardas, Driscoll, Antonopoulos, Pocic, Marzec, and Korte) and President Kurt Korte declared the motion carried. The minutes record the motion as: "It was moved by Member Pocic, seconded by Member Driscoll, that the Board approve the Personnel Consent Agenda." (SEG 005).
The personnel listing states Kamila Marszalik will serve as a long-term Spanish substitute from August 7 to December 18, 2026, at a rate of $150 per day for the first 30 business days; that hire is "contingent upon successful completion of all required documents and background checks." The consent agenda also records the resignation of Kelly Barrientos, long-term Spanish substitute, effective June 19, 2026 (SEG 006).
The action is recorded in the minutes as Action Consideration #25-109. The board did not discuss the personnel items in public session beyond the motion and roll call recorded in the minutes. No public comments were recorded for this meeting.
Next procedural steps for the hire are completion of required paperwork and background clearances before the substitute may begin service, per the contingency noted in the personnel entry.
